In 3D printing, there will be some situations that your model will have overhangs area which not able to print in the air due to nothing there to hold your model / layer. There is few situation that you will encounter and think about might or might not need to use overhangs support.
In order to be easier for understanding, please refer to the simple drawings I have prepare as below.
There are few situation you might think about whether when you will need to use the supports, when your model such as Y & T, it might need to be support on the arrow I have indicate.
But there is a situation that not all overhangs area need to use support, normally if any overhangs angle is less than 45 degrees from vertical you will be able to print without support.(please refer to the image below for easier understanding.)
